Things to do when camping in the New Forest
One of the best things about camping in the New Forest is the huge selection of activities, all within a short walk, cycle or drive. Our sites provide a perfect getaway location to easily access everything the New Forest has to offer, including long walks, picturesque cycle routes and horse riding trails.
For families, there are a number of beaches to soak up the sun and while away the hours whilst mum and dad get stuck into a good book. Beaulieu motor museum attracts visitors from all over the country with a treasure trove of vehicles from history – including new additions every year. For car fanatics, this is a must.
For adults, there are popular local attractions, including a number of tearooms, pubs and breweries, vineyards and award-winning restaurants. With many using exclusively local produce, you can not only camp in the New Forest but experience what makes our part of the world so special.
If your children are animal mad, they’ll love the New Forest Wildlife Park, New Forest Deer Safari, and New Forest Reptile Centre.
Outdoor activities available across the New Forest include archery, clay shooting and a Go Ape Segway rides.
All of these locations are within the national park, close to our camping and caravan sites – but outside of the forest, Marwell Zoo is also available to visit and is a cherished home for a wide selection of animals from across the world.
