Join us from 19th to 21st June for Midsummer at Holmsley, a relaxed three-day summer celebration set in the heart of the New Forest. If you’re staying for the full weekend or just soaking up some of the atmosphere during your break, this is your chance to experience something a little more lively – think good food, music, family-friendly activities and those long, golden evenings that make summer in the forest so special.
A Weekend Full of Atmosphere
Midsummer at Holmsley is all about bringing people together. Across the weekend, the campsite will come alive, here’s just some of what you can expect:

What’s On
Friday: Ease Into the Weekend
Start your weekend with a nature-themed quiz in the evening. With a small £1 entry fee, a bit of friendly competition and prizes up for grabs, it’s the perfect way to settle in. The winner takes all, plus a bottle of prosecco, with prosecco and chocolates for the runner-up.
For those feeling a little more adventurous, there’ll also be a Haunted New Forest walk, offering a different perspective on the forest after dark. Booking is required, with timings and details on how to book coming soon.
Food will be available to purchase throughout the evening, including sharing platters, nachos, chilli and charcuterie boards, ideal for grazing as you unwind.
Saturday: The Main Event
Saturday brings the full Midsummer at Holmsley energy! Enjoy live entertainment from Crazy M, alongside incredible food from Grill Haus, serving up crowd favourites throughout the day.
There’s plenty to get involved in too:
- Arts and crafts with Sally, our education officer, including a Wish Tree
- A Best Dressed competition with a nature, fairy or boho theme
- A Best Decorated Pitch competition, with colourful displays, fairy lights and handmade touches encouraged
With prizes up for grabs, it’s your chance to get creative and really embrace the midsummer spirit.
The bar will be open from midday into the evening, and cream teas will be available for a classic countryside treat.
Sunday: A Relaxed End to the Weekend
Round off the weekend with a Father’s Day breakfast, available to eat in or take away. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a slower morning before heading home.
