Opening Day Fun – Saturday 19th April
Join us for a fantastic family day out as we officially open the new play park at Holmsley! There’ll be laughs, photo opportunities, and even an Easter Egg Hunt to kick things off in style. Bugs Bunny will even be making a special appearance! It’s the perfect way to welcome spring and make some unforgettable holiday memories.
About the Play Park
Designed for adventure and imagination, the new play park is filled with features for young campers – all inspired by Holmsley’s rich history as a WWII airfield. It includes:
Spitfire Play Structure
This eye-catching centrepiece is perfect for pretend pilots, with a slide, netted wing, tube net, rock wall, ladder wall and cockpit for kids to take flight.
Sit-on Mustang
A charming ride-on plane inspired by the iconic WWII Mustang fighter – perfect for young pilots in training. Especially popular with younger children, it’s ideal for sparking imagination and bringing a touch of Holmsley’s aviation heritage to life through play.
Assault Course
With monkey bars and balance beams, this trail is perfect for young recruits keen to test their strength and balance – essential training before taking to the skies in the Spitfire or Mustang!
Basket Swing
Soar through the air whether it’s gentle swaying or more ambitious “G-force” swings, it’s a thrilling warm-up for any budding pilot before they take command of the Spitfire or Mustang
Safe, Relaxing & Family Friendly
The play park is fully enclosed and laid with a soft wood chip surface to keep things safe underfoot. There’s also benches inside, so grown-ups can enjoy a cuppa while the kids explore.
The equipment is best suited for children aged 5–12, but younger ones are welcome too with adult supervision!
