A Fresh Look for Holmsley’s Shop
Our on-site shop is undergoing an exciting transformation to create a more inviting and practical space for our visitors. The refurbishment introduces a modern colour palette, a more spacious layout, and exposed metal shelving – paying homage to the shop’s name, The Hanger, and the site’s history as a World War II airfield.
In addition to this, we’re also going to be stocking the shelves with delicious local produce from the New Forest, ensuring you can enjoy the best of what the region has to offer during your visit.
Of course, we’ll still be fully stocked with essential camping supplies, making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whether you’re topping up on necessities or indulging in some delicious local treats, The Hanger will have you covered.

A Play Area with a Story
We’re also happy to announce the construction of our brand-new children’s play park. But this isn’t just any playground – it’s a tribute to Holmsley’s fascinating past! Inspired by the site’s historical significance, the play area will feature aircraft-themed elements designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and adventure.
Children will have the opportunity to explore, climb, and play while engaging with the area’s rich heritage, making this an exciting and educational experience for young visitors. Our goal is to create a vibrant and engaging space where families can make lasting memories while soaking in the natural beauty of the New Forest.
