Merry Christmas from all of us at Camping in the New Forest!

What a year it’s been! As we look back on 2024, we’re filled with gratitude for all of your support and the wonderful memories created at our campsites.

2024 recap

The year started off a bit soggy, but the weather improved, and we hope you all enjoyed your stays with us. We introduced some exciting changes this season, and your feedback has been fantastic!

Showers were added at Roundhill camspite, and they were a hit!

We brought back the age concession discount, which was warmly welcomed.

Glamping tents made their debut at Ashurst, Hollands Wood, and Roundhill, and they were an instant favourite.

We’re proud to share that we won second place for our trade stand at the New Forest Show and were honoured as Best New Business of the Year at the New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards. And to top it off, Roundhill campsite won Best Campsite in South East England!

None of this would have been possible without our incredible team and the amazing guests who chose to camp with us. Thank you!

Looking ahead to 2025

We’re thrilled to share even more exciting updates…

Holmsley Campsite Shop Makeover

We’re redesigning the shop to include more local produce and BBQ meats. If there’s something you’d love to see, let us know!

New Glamping Tents

We’re introducing 10 beautiful “Burt Tents” at Holmsley. They’re a must-see. A cross between a glamping tent and a yurt. There is also a skylight to see the stars twinkling. Book your stay on our website or give us a call!

New Playpark Equipment

We’re upgrading the play areas at Holmsley campsite with brand-new equipment to make family stays even more enjoyable.

VE Day Weekend Celebration

Join us at Holmsley from May 8th–10th for a weekend packed with activities. From quizzes and live bands to cream teas, a funfair, and a fascinating presentation by Friends of the New Forest Airfields, it’s an event you won’t want to miss. Holmsley played a significant role in WWII, and this is a great chance to learn more about its history.

We’re already counting down the days to the 2025 season and hoping for fantastic weather! Bookings for next year are open, including seasonal pitches if you’d like an extended stay. And if you can’t wait that long, Setthorns campsite is open year-round. Pop by for a chat, a mince pie, and some mulled wine with our team!

Please note, our head office will be closed over Christmas, reopening on January 2nd. If you need assistance, the team at Setthorns are here to help.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Camping in the New Forest. See you in 2025! 🌲✨
